I was away from you during the spring when splendid April did its magic so I could remember you and me. 

Only remember because I can’t find, the beautiful feeling about being free. 
Laugh, dance, run, be; things I can’t do during this strange spring. 
But in the end, we just have to believe, 
that we’ll see our family and friends, finally this week. Leire 4ºA

I was away from you during the spring when splendid April, I was in quarantine,
when I saw some birds flying together and I remembered the moments I was with you
when we were taking a walk in the field.

Time passes very slowly when I am not by your side, and I am happy when I hear your voice messages by WhatsApp.

 I just hope this quarantine passes as soon as possible. JUDITH 4ºA

Because we love each other,
because we take care of ourselves,
because we are together
nothing is complicated.

Because with a kiss,
with a look,
everything happens
a fairytale.

Because if we are together,
together we form
this little world
that "family" we call.

I was far from you during the spring when the splendid April did not appear in all its splendor as it had every year for as long as I can remember.

 The wet and empty streets remain silent as I look out the window, locked in my own shelter and prison as I remember those beautiful years where I was surrounded by all my family, friends and a good cake   LEO 4ºA

I was away from you during the spring,
when splendid April remembered me
the time I was with you, drinking tea
at that garden where our memories’ still sitting.

We were on holiday, with no meaning
of our enormous luck and peace.
I now realize how important is the sea

it makes me feel like a little thing.

The present is representing historical problems
crisis periods are really difficult
but maybe our planet would have cared like it is the last moment

Life is represented in nature and monuments
families would have to care about the Earth and know their faults
because a virus can make us think in our existence.Helena 4ºA



I was away from you during the spring, we couldn´t enjoy the sun striking our skin while sitting on a bench eating seeds and non-stop laughing. I miss when we talked and talked until we got so many hours at night and we had to our houses.
When we celebrated our birthdays in a park and we danced until we couldn´t hold no longer, the spring parties that started the summer nights.
But what I miss the most is that I tell you about my problems and you listen to me and give me advice, to come back to my house with you, to have dinner together and watch a movie, going to school every morning on a walk.
Going to your house one day and being there more than in my own house, staying with the whole group and playing cards, talking on sleepless nights of our crushes.

Being locked up here does not make me stop thinking about you, I listen to so many songs that remind me of you that I feel you´re by my side. 

I hope we can see each other soon and we can do all that we have promised ourselves for all these years.JUNCAL 4ºA

Before this, spring was so beautiful
Flowers grew on the trees
The weather was splendid
But there was a thing that I miss so much
Be with my friends huh them and laugh so much
Be with my grandparents
And things as simple as going to the cinema
Today I, ve locked up in my house 7 weeks
Without being able to go outside
To see my friends and my family
Now I just hope this nightmare ends soon
That we can do all those things

Este Proyecto pervivirá en el tiempo y está vivo. 

Quedará como huella en las paredes del centro. Un skyline del siglo XVII para el siglo XXI.

PUNTO 4. ANGUSTIAS . (Actual teatro Calderón)
 

ACTIVIDAD: Investigación historia y patrimonio 

Explicación de los cronistas/guías bilingües

 ( Iglesia de las Angustias, antiguo Palacio Almirante). 

Su localización seria donde se encuentra ahora el teatro Calderón.

El palacio poseía dos plantas, la primera planta tenia barrotes en las ventanas y la segunda planta tenia balcones de estilo gótico.

Este edificio vivió el rey Fernando V el católico y su segunda esposa D. Germana de Fox, y donde tuvo lugar el nacimiento de su hijo Juan en el año 1509.

También, tuvo lugar el perdón del segundo Almirante de Castilla D. Fabrique Enríquez hacia los vecinos que se unieron a la rebelión comunera.

Durante 1850  y 1856, fue la sede de la Diputación Provisional.

Y en 1863 fue vendido a la sociedad constructora del teatro calderón, y ese mismo año comenzó el derribo.

The Admiral's Palace was on the land that today occupies the Calderón Theater, Alonso Berruguete Street, and two houses on Las Angustias Street. Ahead there was a large esplanade, where the construction of the Angustias Church began in 1597.

It had two heights: the ground floor with iron bars on its windows and the upper one with balconies with a Gothic spirit. The facade was flanked on both sides with a hammer-shaped keep

There is very little data on this building. It was the residence of the Enriquez family, whose chief held the title of Admiral of Castile, one of the first dignities of Spain.  It was the residence of Fernando el Católico and his second wife Germana de Foix and the place where their son Juan was born, who died a few days later.

In honor of don Fadrique, second Admiral of Castile, an inscription engraved on a black marble tombstone was placed on the palace door, which recalled the Admiral's support during the uprising of the Comuneros.

In 1863 it was sold to the construction company of the Calderón Theater and on June 1 of that same year the demolition began.

Only fragments of tiles, rose windows and ataurines (which are kept in the Archaeological Museum) and a drawing of the cover remains from the old building.

Duque de Lerma: My Majesty, I introduce you to the Count of Nottingham-Count of Nottingham- great admiral of England.  

Felipe III./Margarita: It is a pleasure to meet you in Valladolid, Spain.  

Charles Howard :I,  Charles Howard, (Count of Nottingham) came here to Spain as ambassador of King James I Stuart to ratify the signing of the Treaty of London that, on August 28, 1604, that meant the end of  the long war between these two powerful countries. 

  

Giles Poter (traductor): Yo, Charles Howard, conde de Nottingham, vine a España como embajador del rey Jacobo I Estuardo para ratificar la firma del Tratado de Londres que, el 28 de agosto de 1604, ha puesto fin a la larga guerra entre ambas potencias.  

-El rey descendió de su trono y dio cálidamente la bienvenida al embajador, invitándole a tomar asiento junto a él- «We found his Majestie in his Gallerie standing upright against a little Table in the midst of the same, accompanied with the Duke of Lerma» («Encontramos a Su Majestad en su galería en pie, muy recto, junto a una pequeña mesa en mitad de la estancia acompañado del duque de Lerma»)  

Felipe III: Aprecio su visita y es un honor para nosotros ratificar la Paz aquí en Valladolid. Por favor, tome asiento. Espero que Vd y sus embajadores se sientan como en casa.  

Giles Poter (traductor): I apreciate your visit and it is an honour for all of us to ratify this Treaty here in Valladolid.  Please do take a seat. Feel yourself and all your delegates at home.  

Los ingleses se dieron cuenta del gran honor que se les hacía ya que, como observó Tresswell, el honor que Felipe III hacía a Nottingham no lo había recibido antes ningún embajador en la corte española29. El conde y su delegación comprendieron lo mucho que el rey valoraba la paz con Inglaterra  

Cornwallis observó como Nottingham «was verey graciousely entertained» («fue recibido muy graciosamente») por el rey y la reina, mientras que Tresswell anotó que Felipe III se puso en pie y «gave entertainment to his Lordship with most kind and affable behaviour, appointing him to sit down by him, and that very near; which especial favour was much observed and reported as a thing never used to any ambassador before that time» («recibió a Su Señoría con las mayores muestras de amabilidad y afabilidad, invitándole a sentarse junto a él, muy cerca, lo cual se consideró un favor muy especial que jamás se había otorgado antes a ningún embajador»), Idem, pp. 68-69 y TRESSWELL, R.: Op. cit., p. 552.
